Position Overview: 

As the Manager of Payroll Operations at FINSYNC, you will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing the day-to-day operations of our payroll services team. You will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of accurate, timely, and compliant payroll services to our clients. This role requires a strategic thinker with payroll expertise and a commitment to operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee aspects of payroll operations, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and compliance

Develop and implement strategies to improve payroll processes and systems

Collaborate with the VP of Payroll to align operational strategies with overall business objectives

Manage relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, vendors, and regulatory bodies

Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations

Implement and maintain robust quality control measures for payroll processing

Stay informed about industry trends and technological advancements in payroll processing

Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless integration of payroll services with other FINSYNC offerings

Handle escalated client issues and complex payroll situations

Qualifications:

Strong knowledge of tax and compliance related to payroll calculations and multi-state tax reporting

3+ years of experience in payroll management

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; advanced degree or professional certification (e.g., CPP) preferred

Experience with payroll software and systems implementation

Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills

Strong communication and interpersonal abilities

Proven track record of process improvement and operational efficiency

Experience in managing multi-state payroll operations

Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
